How to Join Us

Membership is open to all interested persons; the fee for 2015-2016 is £25. Membership is free for full-time students at a recognized School, College or University. Members pay no admittance charge for ordinary meetings and have access to restricted activities such as Visits, the Annual Dinner and the Summer Supper. Tickets for The Erasmus Darwin Memorial Lecture should be purchased from the LichfieldGarrick Box Office, where Members benefit from early booking and a reduced rate. Members can receive full and early information on all of the Society’s activities by e-mail.

The Society regrets that at present, because of overcrowding in the Studio at the more popular lectures, the membership list is closed to new members, with immediate effect. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list and treated in order of application. Under these circumstances it will not be necessary to enclose a cheque with the application form.

All are welcome to attend our lecture meetings which are held in the LichfieldGarrick, Castle Dyke, Lichfield. They begin at 8:00 pm. and are expected to finish by 10:00 pm. When the meeting is in the Studio members signing in before 7:50 pm will have precedence over all visitors. The fee for visitors at our regular meetings is £5.00.

The Green Room of the LichfieldGarrick will usually be open for refreshments before and after the lecture.

To apply for membership, download and complete the application and return it with your cheque to the address on the form. Alternatively join at any lecture meeting, admittance to which will then be free, although for that meeting only you will be treated as a Visitor.
