| Description: | Following the 2005 discovery of corrosion in the Forth Road Bridge, work has rapidly progressed to procure and construct a new crossing. It will be the longest three tower cable-stayed bridge in the world. Opening is scheduled for May 2017, some 11 years from inception to completion, a huge achievement for a huge project. | |
